What is Castilho Torres IA?
It is a software platform that brings together, in one environment, AI specialized in Brazilian law and taxation, source-grounded research and the management of legal work: clients, matters, tasks, agents and automations. The aim is to take a question all the way to a concrete next step, with professional review along the way.
Who is it for?
Independent lawyers, law firms, in-house legal departments and tax and accounting teams working under Brazilian law. It also serves executives who need clear reporting on legal and tax changes that affect the business in Brazil.
How is it different from a general-purpose AI assistant?
In three ways. Specialization: assistants with their own domain, analysis protocol and sources for each practice area. Grounding: answers show where information came from, state their assumptions and flag uncertainty. Operations: the analysis becomes a matter, a task and a follow-up in the same environment instead of staying trapped in a chat.
Do I need to replace the systems I already use?
Not necessarily. The platform can be your main environment for intelligence and management, or it can sit alongside your current systems. Integrations with email, calendar, files, messaging and APIs are possible and assessed for each rollout.
Which management modules are included?
The environment shown in the 2026 catalog includes legal CRM, contacts, clients, matter management, tasks and audio transcription, plus the main dashboard and administration area. The exact set of modules for each account depends on the plan and configuration contracted.
Research, models and data
Where do research sources come from?
From three places, depending on configuration: documents you upload, indexed knowledge bases (such as legislation) and public sources such as court portals and official publications when integrated research is enabled. The quality of the grounding depends on what has actually been indexed, and court decisions should always be checked on the official court portal.
Which AI models are available?
The platform gives access to model families such as GPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google) and DeepSeek, among others. The models available in each account depend on the license, active APIs and installation settings. Naming these providers does not imply partnership or endorsement.
Which jurisdiction does the platform cover?
Brazilian law and taxation. The specialization, sources and analysis protocols are designed for legal and tax work in Brazil. The platform does not offer U.S., EU or other foreign-law coverage.
How is confidential information handled?
Data handling follows the platform’s terms of use and privacy policy, which are in final legal review and will be published on this site. Before uploading sensitive documents, check your account’s access permissions and talk to the team about your firm’s or company’s specific requirements, including under the LGPD (Brazil’s data protection law) and professional secrecy rules.
Which integrations exist?
The catalog lists WhatsApp, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, website chat and APIs as possible connectors. A listed connector is not the same as an active integration: availability is confirmed for each rollout.
Trial and rollout
How does the 7-day trial work?
You create an account through the Start your 7-day trial button, sign in to the application and explore the workflows enabled for the trial. Trial conditions, such as included modules and what happens after seven days, are shown during sign-up.
How does an enterprise rollout work?
In four stages: diagnose the routine, bottlenecks and opportunities; configure the modules and sources required; validate workflows, answers and permissions; and operate, with training, follow-up and ongoing improvement. Available in the interface is not the same as integration enabled or workflow approved, and every delivery is validated.
What support is available?
The platform has a support area for requests and assistance. For enterprise rollouts, follow-up is part of the operate stage. Support channels and response times for each plan are set out when you sign up.
Professional responsibility
Does the platform replace review by a lawyer or accountant?
No. The platform supports the analysis, organizes evidence and prepares review material, but the conclusion and professional responsibility remain with the qualified professional. That is why answers separate evidence from inference and state their uncertainty.
Does subscribing create a relationship with the law firm?
No. Castilho Torres IA is software. A subscription does not create an attorney-client relationship with Castilho Torres Sociedade de Advogados or any lawyer, and using the platform is not legal advice. The firm’s legal services are engaged directly with the firm under a separate agreement.
